Is the Perkl-Light™ a color-therapy device?
The colored light generated by the Perkl-Light™ machine is only a small part of the energetic mechanism. A proprietary technology is used to amplify the subtle-energy effects of the colored light.
What kind of field does the Perkl-Light™ machine radiate?
The Perkl-Light™ machine generates a subtle-energy field. It does not generate significant amounts of electromagnetic radiation outside of the visible-light spectrum. The subtle energy field generated by the Perkl-Light™ machine is similar in character and quality to the "life-force" or chi energy found in all living things. As the Perkl-Light™is highly adjustable, it may be tuned into specific aspects of an individual's energy field to move stuck energy, and to heal unbalanced energy patterns.
How far does the energy field extend?
The energy extends approximately 12 feet from the machine, in all directions
What sort of training do I need to use the Perkl-Light™?
Generally, practitioners who have training in some form of energy work, such as applied kinesiology, can use the Perkl-Light™ with only a simple orientation. A chart is provided in the instructions listing the 71 available preprogrammed modes. (Click "Download Instructions" on the left side of your screen.) Using a modality such as muscle-testing, you can determine settings that are beneficial to your clients. Two instructional DVDs are included in each Perkl-Light.
Are there any negative effects to be concerned about?
The general assumption with subtle-energy products is that they either do something helpful or do nothing at all. The Perkl-Light™ is a little different because the energy field it produces is so powerful. There are three things a practitioner should be aware of in using the Perkl-Light™:
- In rare cases, persons near a person being treated can be adversely affected, resulting in symptoms such as a headache or nausea. For this reason, we recommend that persons receive treatment with the Perkl-Light (tm) machine in a room by themselves. Generally, it is possible to use the Perkl-Light™ to re-harmonize a person who has been affected negatively.
- It is possible to use the Perkl-Light™ to do very deep healing work. As the body adjusts to a higher level of function, there may be a "healing crisis" wherein a person feels worse on their way to feeling better. The client may experience any number of symptoms. This characteristic is not unique to the Perkl-Light™, but applies to any form of energetic treatment that actually gets results.
- Practitioners and others exposed to the energy of the Perkl-Light™ a great deal of the time may experience discomfort as the chi energy builds up in their body. In cases like this it is beneficial to exercise to give that excess chi an expression. You will know that the exercise is what your body needs if the exercise feels effortless. It can also be helpful to "ground" your energy by walking barefoot on grass, earth, etc. for 30 minutes.
Is it possible to use the machine too much?
Generally, your body will let you know when you have used the machine enough. In this case, it will simply not feel good to be around the machine. You can muscle-test to determine optimal lengths of treatment, but it is important to pay attention to what your body is telling you. Exercising can help to balance effects of overuse.
In some case, a healing crisis may result from overuse. This is generally a good thing, but it helps if you have time to nurture yourself for a couple of days while your energy reorganizes itself.
